My heart beat faster than ever and I was trembling before Tinie announced it, when he said “One”, I screamed louder than I ever had, the tears streamed down my face, and the trembling got worse. Their smiles, their speech, their eagerness, the happiness visible in their eyes…it was all worth it. I’m proud of them, so much I can’t explain with words. From TXF to the BRIT Awards. From a boy who worked in a bakery in Holmes Chapel, from a boy who played Danny in a Grease musical in Doncaster, from a boy who danced in a very weird way in Mullingar, from a bad boy from Bradford, and from a boy who fought all his problems and never gave up in Wolverhampton. These boys are now known worldwide, they are now a succesfull band with a huge fandom, they now won their very first BRIT, and I can’t be more proud. But, no matter how far they get, they’ll always be those five boys sitting on the stairs, and I’ll support them, love them, and be there till the very end.
